Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has said the Betway Premiership leaders will focus on their own journey, and not look over their shoulders at those chasing them.
Sundowns beat Galaxy 4-1 on Saturday to move 12 points ahead of second-placed Orlando Pirates, who had also won earlier on Saturday, beating Cape Town City 2-1.
It is a significant gap, however Pirates have played three fewer games, but this is something that is not worrying Cardoso.
“I didn’t look the the schedule of Pirates, I don’t know,” Cardoso told the media after the Galaxy win.

“Obviously, I know that they (Pirates) have some games behind, so obviously they have to play these games some moment.
“But, I don’t know, if we can win ours until then, eventually it can be advantage, but if we lose also points, it will not be an advantage.
“So let’s wait and see. We’ve got an advantage after their match (when Sundowns beat Pirates), and immediately, two days after, we lost these three points in Galaxy away.
“So we need to focus on our job. We need to continue to win games so that we can, obviously, at the end, have an amount of points that allow us to win, but there’s a lot of games. The other day, someone was speaking about the draw of the Champions League, and I laughed a lot because I said, Please don’t make me think about something that is so far away.
“Because time, sometimes I look back, iit seems that last month had the three years, you know, because so many things, so much work, less sleep, so many hours of work.”
