Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed Nasreddine Nabi’s captain for the 2024/25 season.
The Tunisian mentor has made several changes to the Amakhosi line-up, with new signings Fiacre Ntwari, Rushwin Dortley, Inacio Miguel, Bradley Cross and Gaston Sirino all making their club debuts.
Amakhosi take on Marumo Gallants at a sold-out Toyota Stadium, with Yusuf Maart one of the few players who have retained their spot in the line-up.
The 29-year-old, who starts in the central midfield alongside Samkelo Zwane, was one of the captains last season, sharing the armband with the likes of Itumeleng Khune and Keagan Dolly.
However, with the latter having left the club and Given Msimango starting on the bench, Maart was named captain for their 2024/25 opener.
