Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Youssef Ben Khalil leapt to youngster Wandile Duba’s defence after he received a backlash from fans on the comments he made on social media.
Before the 1-0 win over Sekhukhune United, Duba was quoted saying some fans type b*** s*** on social media in frustration forgetting that players are humans as well.
The statement did not land well with the fans who want more from Duba and the whole Amakhosi attacking unit.
Khalil said Chiefs players are mentally strong and confident. The coach added that it’s something that is helped by what they do in training and the love they get even though they are aware of what people say about them.
“To be honest with you, our players they are so strong, mentally they are so strong,” said Khalil.
“They know everything about the situation outside. They still always focus in training. We give them a lot of confidence. We love our players they perform very well they are so professional in training. We are a family here; we are a family we protect our players.
