Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed their five Dutch opponents in what they have labelled a “high intensity” pre-season camp in the Netherlands this month.
In a statement on their website Chiefs said the team will depart for their base camp Apeldoorn on 4 July and return to South Africa on 19 July.
Four of their matches will be open to public, with Chiefs facing Vitesse on 8 July, Nijimegen on 12 July, PEC Zwolle on 15 July and Twente the next day, while the encounter against Utrecht on 11 July will be played behind closed doors.
Amakhosi further revealed that Carling Black Label will be their official partner on the tour in a move that seeks to reinforce Carling’s commitment to the growth of football in South Africa.
Furthermore there is a group of supporters that will travel with the team, selected through one of the campaigns with sponsor Vodacom.
Chiefs broke their 10-year trophy-less spell last seaso,n clinching the Nedbank Cup. However they finished in ninth position in the Betway Premiership with 32 points, the second time in as many seasons they ended outside the top 8.
However, they now prepare for a season that will see them return to CAF football after they qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup.
