Kaizer Chiefs duo Mduduzi Shabalala and Yusuf Maart are edging closer to suspension having each accumulated three yellow cards in the Betway Premiership.
Ahead of Amakhosi’s trip to the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban this afternoon to play Chippa United, the two players could see themselves miss out on the Cape Town City clash in the Mother City on Sunday, 5 January 2025 should they get booked against the Chilli Boys.
Despite Chiefs’ inconsistent run of form which has seen them win just one of out their last four fixtures, Shabalala and Maart have both contributed with assists and goals this campaign.
Shabalala has scored three goals and provided a further two assists in 11 matches in all competitions while Maart has scored once and assisted three times in nine outings, also across all competitions.
