Kaizer Chiefs and Marumo Gallants announced their starting line-ups for today’s Betway Premiership encounter at FNB Stadium.
Chiefs continue their battle to finish in the top eight following a five-match winless run in the league. Amakhosi recently played a goalless draw with Chippa United away from home, which was only their third point in five games.
Nasreddine Nabi’s side remained in eighth place, even in the revamped Betway Premiership log, which excludes all Royal AM results, sitting on 30 points, level with Chippa and AmaZulu, but remain ahead of Usuthu on goal difference.
Gallants have a different task, as they aim to survive relegation and put as many points as possible between them and the 15th place. They currently have a five-point gap on SuperSport United after picking up eight points in their last four games. Overall, they sit on 27 points, just three behind the Glamour Boys.
These two sides faced each other seven times, and Chiefs won three, while Gallants managed to win only one, and three games ended as draws. Nabi’s men won the reverse fixture 1-0.
