Chiefs Secure Star Talent On New Deal

Kaizer Chiefs have acted swiftly to tie down forward Ashley du Preez on a new two-year contract.

This publication reported last week that Chiefs had been engaging with Du Preez over potentially signing a new deal with the player and club keen to end speculation.

This due to the 27-year-old attracting interest from Portugal in the off-season with Santa Clara and Vitória Sport Clube among the interested suitors for the pacey forward.

iDiski Times can now confirm the player has signed until July 2027, which will no doubt come as a welcome boost to Chiefs upon his recent return to fitness.

Du Preez missed six games due to injury but returned with a 60-minute showing against Sundowns and then found the winning goal against Magesi on Tuesday evening from the bench which was his fourth goal of the season.
