Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that defender Paseko Mako has returned to South Africa from their pre-season tour after suffering a fractured forearm.
The Glamour Boys are closing in on concluding their 10-day stay in Alicante having played two matches with both ties ending in a stalemate. They take on Spanish LaLiga outfit Elche CF on Saturday, 18 July, before jetting back to Mzansi.

In their first clash against Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers, the sides played to a 1-1 draw before playing to the same scoreline against Al Kholood.
Amakhosi have now since released a statement on Mako’s condition before their last match though they also gave the fans a sigh of relief regarding players who previously nursed injuries.
“Kaizer Chiefs’ pre-season preparations in Spain, led by coach Fernando Da Cruz, are progressing well as the team gears up for the new campaign,” the club said.
“However, defender Paseka Mako has suffered a setback after fracturing his forearm during Tuesday’s friendly match against Al Khalood.
“Mako has returned to South Africa for medical care and will consult a specialist orthopaedic surgeon for further assessment. He is expected to rejoin his teammates in the coming weeks once his recovery is underway.
“On a brighter note, several players who ended last season on the injury list have resumed training and are eager to fight for selection under Da Cruz. The coach’s first test on home soil will come in the Toyota Cup against Scottland FC of Zimbabwe in Rustenburg on 26 July.”
