City Secure Millions As Latest Exit Confirmed

Cape Town City have confirmed Vålerenga have activated their option to buy on midfielder Brice Ambina after impressing during his loan move.

Ambina, 22, was on the fringes of the Cameroon national team and was seeking a move to Europe to further his career after establishing himself as a key player in the DStv Premiership.

While there were several clubs keen on his services, and City rejected multiple bids from Latvian side FC Riga, he finally secured a move with the Norwegian outfit.

Ambina joined on a loan alongside Nathan Idumba Fasika, and has featured 17 times for the club, which has prompted them to activate the option to buy.

iDiski Times understands the club agreed on a €550,000 transfer (R10m) which will be paid in three separate instalments.

Ambina has penned a three-year deal with City also retaining a percentage on future sales for the Cameroon youth international.

City moved fast to secure a new player in his role with Kamohelo Mokotjo set to be announced after his player plus cash swap deal from Sekhukhune United.
