Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting line-ups for today’s Betway Premiership encounter at DHL Stadium.
Today marks three months and 15 days since Cape Town City last won an official match when they beat Richards Bay. The Citizens find themselves sitting in 15th place, which would send them to the playoffs.
The Cape Town-based side have three finals to save themselves and tonight is the first if they want to avoid promotional playoffs. Out of a possible 30 points, City only managed to collect three points.
Meanwhile, Sundowns are a moving machine as they keep on grinding points. Masandawana are seven points away from clinching their eighth consecutive league title.
They have a chance to end the season with two big trophies as they in the final of the CAF Champions League and could soon wrap up the league.
In the last seven head-to-head clashes, Sundowns have won two and City won just one, while four matches ended with goalless draws.
