Golden Arrows head coach Pitso Dladla has revealed what he hopes to achieve in his first season at the club.

Dladla was appointed to replace Manqoba Mngqithi, who abruptly parted ways with Abafana Bes’thende at the end of the previous campaign.

The 46-year-old enjoyed an impressive brief stint as interim coach at Durban City last season, leading the club to the Nedbank Cup trophy.

The triumph ended a trophy drought of more than 15 years for any club from KwaZulu-Natal.

Dladla says his main objective this season is to get the best out of his players while building unity within both the technical team and the squad as a whole.

“For me, what’s important is to be able to get the best out of the players,” Dladla told the reporters.

“We want, as a technical team, and players to be united. If we can do that, I believe that’s the first step that can make me happy.

“That’s one thing that I feel is really happening from what I have seen.”

Arrows will open their campaign with Chippa United clash on Saturday, 1 August at King Zwelithini Stadium.
