New Kaizer Chiefs defender Rushwin Dortley says his move to Naturena is purely down to hard work, ahead of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership.
The 22-year-old penned a three-year contract with Amakhosi from Cape Town Spurs upon their relegation to the Motsepe Foundation Championship. His performances did not go unnoticed as several teams lined up for his signature, also catching the eye of national team selectors as he starred in Bafana Bafana’s unbeaten run in the 2024 COSAFA Cup in Gqeberha.
The versatile defender spoke to iDiski Times writer Sinethemba Makonco in the latest edition of the newspaper where he said the move is the result of his hard work.
“It really, really means a lot to me,” Dortley told iDiski Times.
“It shows that my hard work is paying off and people can see my talent and that I’m not just playing for the sake of playing.
“Me putting in the hard work and doing my best in all games despite the results, despite how the team is playing, despite the circumstances, to always give your 100% because there are always people watching,” Dortley added.
