Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertuğral has hailed new arrival Rushwin Dortley’s signing, but reckons he still needs adaptation.
Dortley, 22, joined the Glamour Boys from Cape Town Spurs, with the club also acquiring the services of goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari from TS Galaxy, and free agents Bongani Sam and Gaston Sirino.
Ertuğral had two stints at Naturena between 1999 and 2009, winning the Telkom Knockout & MTN8 trophies. He told iDiski Times’ Rob Delport, in the Transfer Special feature, in edition 167 of the newspaper, that Dortley is a good recruit for the future but won’t solve the club’s immediate defensive problems.
“Rushwin is a good signing for Chiefs but he needs time,” Ertuğral told iDiski Times.
“The Chiefs’ pressure at the back could put too much pressure on him. Great for the future but not at the moment to solve their problems, which for me the collective defensive reflexes has to be better.”
