Ex-Nabi Star – What Chiefs Can Expect From New Chiefs Coach

AS FAR striker Tumisang Orebonye has offered insight into new Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi’s style of play and character.

The Botswana international worked with Nabi in the Botola Pro League where they finished second behind the invincible Raja CA with 71 points last season. The 28-year-old was brought by Nabi to Morocco after winning a double with USM Alger in January.

The Tunisian tactician put his charges through their paces in their pre-season tour of Turkey, and fans will get a first taste of his playing style when Amakhosi take on Yanga SC in the inaugural Toyota Cup in Bloemfontein this coming weekend.

Orebonye told iDiski Times senior journalist Lorenz Köhler in edition 163 of the newspaper that he trusts his former coach to turn things around at Naturena with his style of play and strictness.

“He is the type of coach who wants the ball to start playing from the back, with quick ball movement,” Orebonye told iDiski Times.

“Basically he just likes to have more of the ball in terms of possession because it gives you superior control of the game. He is a good human being, he was like a father to us all because he built a good relationship with his players. When it comes to discipline he is so strict! In terms of time, punctuality, behaviour on and off the field.

“I do believe he can turn the tables around at Chiefs, once the players understand his style of play. I can proudly say yes he can change things around.”
