AmaZulu Football Club have announced the appointment of former Bafana Bafana analyst Sinesipho Mali as Head of Football Strategy.
Mali brings a wealth of experience to the club, having worked extensively at both international and club levels. His career trajectory includes notable stints at Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs.
Mali also spent four years with the senior national team under Hugo Broos, serving as head of tactical and performance analysis. He played a pivotal role in the team’s bronze medal win at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and their successful qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
At AmaZulu, Mali will oversee analytical operations across all teams, bringing his expertise to the club’s preseason preparations.

“AmaZulu Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Sinesipho Mali as the club’s new Head of Football Strategy, effective immediately,” the club announced.
“Mali joins Usuthu after an extensive career in South African football, most recently serving within the Bafana Bafana technical set-up.
“His impressive résumé also includes roles with Chippa United, Kaizer Chiefs and Mthatha Bucks, where he earned a reputation for his expertise in opposition analysis, talent identification, recruitment and football strategy.”
With previous experience at Sekhukhune United as Head of Scouting and Analysis and Chippa United as Sporting Director, Mali also holds a UEFA Academy Elite Scout graduate certificate and a CAF B License.
