Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has continued his coaching journey and is studying towards his UEFA B Licence in Northern Ireland.
Zwane was a Chiefs player for almost 10 years after being snapped up from Tembisa Classic in 2000, going on to represent the club with distinction, amassing close to 200 appearances, scoring 46 goals.
He made his debut for Amakhosi on 22 July 2000, as they claimed a narrow 1–0 win over Wits University. Zwane was also part of the infamous Chiefs team that won three trophies during “Operation Vat Alles” in 2000/01. He opened his scoring for the club on 8 August 2004 in a 2–1 victory over Manning Rangers.
The former Orlando Pirates midfielder was appointed as a caretaker coach at Chiefs at the end of 2020/21 campaign before he was appointed as the head coach from May 2022 until June 2023.
‘10111’ was dropped from his role after Amakhosi’s poor performance and Molefe Ntseki was roped in at the beginning of 2023/24 season before he was shown the exit door for Head Of Youth coach Cavin Johnson to finish the season.
Zwane is studying towards his UEFA Diploma B licence with the Irish Football Association.
Before becoming head coach, Zwane worked for the Chiefs DDC team where he produced the likes of Siyabonga Ngezana and Njabulo Blom, who are now playing overseas.
