Peter Shalulile was again on the scoresheet as Young Africans SC thrashed JKT Tanzania 4-0 on Monday evening.
Yanga have continued their perfect start to the new season, making it three wins in three Tanzanian Premier League games.
Manqoba Mngqithi’s men opened the scoring after 29 minutes via Albert Kangwanda, while Ibrahim Hamad Bacca made it 2-0 just five minutes later.
Chadrack Boka scored his side’s third before the break, with Shalulile finding the net in the 64th minute to complete the route.
The win saw Yanga move back to the top of the log, with 11 goals from three games after a 4-1 win over Coastal Union and a 3-1 at Namungo FC on the league’s opening match day.
Mngqithi has now collected four wins in four games after also beating Yanga’s bitter rivals Simba SC – coached by Steve Barker – in the FA Community Shield 1-0.
Simba follow in second place, also with three wins in three games, but a smaller goal difference – +4 for Simba and +9 for Yanga.
Mngqithi’s men return to action on Friday, when they will host Pamba, who have only picked up one point so far.
