Young Africans SC head coach Manqoba Mngqithi has hit back at a journalist after his side’s massive 4-1 win against Coastal Union on Thursday.
The defending league champions made it two wins in two matches in the new season of the Tanzania NBC Premier League.
Wananchi had opened the league campaign with a 3-1 away win at Namungo FC last week Saturday before the hammering of Coastal Union yesterday.
Mngqithi’s side is currently sitting at the top of the league table level on points with their biggest rivals Simba SC but with a better goal difference of +5 while Simba is on +3.
During the press conference after the massive win, Mngqithi took a dig at a journalist who sounded more negative than positive despite a comfortable win.
“The team was never killed, the team won 4-1. Are you looking for negativity? Mngqithi said in his post-match presser.
“Are you one of the angry ones who want to see the team fail because we are going to succeed?
“Rest assured you will cry if you think this team is gonna have problems because this team is going to win a lot of matches.”
