Mamelodi Sundowns have bid farewell to young defender Thato Sibiya who has sealed a season-long loan switch to French Ligue 1 outfit LOSC Lille ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 20-year-old was part of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winning squad in 2025 and went on to star at the U20 FIFA World Cup in Chile.
His immense ability saw him promoted to the first team featuring four times, whilst still featuring prominently in the DStv Diski Challenge squad.
Despite being part of the first team in their pre-season in Austria, he’s since jetted off to France, with a loan with an option to buy agreed with Masandawana.
