TS Galaxy have secured goalkeeper Ira Eliezer Tapé on a new three-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Tape, 28, joined Galaxy from Ethiopian club Hadia Hosaina in 2024 and has become an ever-present figure in goal, featuring 63 times, with 18 clean sheets to his name.

There was speculation around his future going into the off-season with his contract due to expire, but the Rockets have now moved to secure his services for the next three years.

Tape, who’s been capped twice for the senior Ivory Coast national team, was developed in the famed ASPIRE Academy before spending time at Société Omnisports de l’Armée and FC San Pedro before his stint in East Africa.

He’s set to compete with Nigerian stopper Kayode Bankole, Melusi Mathebula, Sipho Gift Maseti and Nkosingabele Madela for a place between the sticks in the upcoming campaign.
