Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou joked that Ricardo Goss was not a goalkeeper but Jesus Christ with the amount of saves he made for Siwelele today.
The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper secured the Man of the Match award today after making 11 saves in the 1-1 draw against the title-chasing Pirates at the Orlando Amstel Arena this afternoon.
While he did concede from the Tshepang Moremi effort in the second half, his heroics was enough to make Vincent Pule’s first half strike saw them walk away with a valuable point in their bid to retain their top-flight status.

“We have to give credit to the goalkeeper, he was Man of the Match – we never had a goalkeeper today, we have Jesus Christ in the goal today, he saved everything so we have to give him credit and I don’t know if I have to reproach something on my players, they gave everything to get shots on target, create chances but we had a wall in the goal,” Ouaddou said.
“I think he saved his team with a fantastic game, for us the most difficult thing in a game is to create chances, especially against a team trying to save their position in the PSL – their are not many teams, if they play like that, that will beat Siwelele.”
It was the 31-year-old’s ninth clean sheet in the league in 19 games this season, while he’s conceded only 13 goals.
