Hlanti Resurfaces At New PSL Club After Chiefs Exit

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Sifiso Hlanti has resurfaced at fellow Betway Premiership outfit TS Galaxy as he looks to earn himself a contract.

Hlanti, 34, is currently a free agent after his contract at Chiefs expired. The experienced left-back tried his luck at SuperSport United under the watchful eye of Gavin Hunt with the pair having worked together during their time at the now-defunct Bidvest Wits.

Hlanti has been struggling to get a team since July and was training by himself. It was thought that Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars was monitoring him but opted not to pursue their reported interest further.

As reported by Soccer Laduma, Hlanti is currently training with the Rockets and could be offered a short-term contract should head coach Adnan Beganovic remain impressed.

Galaxy has been struggling defensively, conceding 11 goals in 10 games and Hlanti’s experience could add a lot of value to their defence as they look to finish the season in a better place.
