Newly promoted Motsepe Foundation Championship side Hope FC have shown interest in young Kaizer Chiefs striker Naledi Hlongwane.

Hope FC will play their first season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after gaining promotion from the ABC Motsepe League.

The Immortals have already started building their team for their debut season and began their pre-season on Monday, 13 July.

The Cape Town-based team has already announced a few signings, consisting mostly of young players with a bit of experience: Nande Wetbooi, Selwyn Stevens, Brandon Theron, Tauric Gamildien, and Tyler Cicero.

The ambitious MFC outfit have now shown strong interest in Hlongwane, 20, whom they believe could add value to the team. The Immortals already sent a request for a loan to Chiefs, and the decision remains with Amakhosi.

While at Chiefs, it could be difficult for Hlongwane to make a breakthrough into the team with the likes of Khanyisa Mayo, Godspower Ighodaro, Flavio Da Silva, and Luke Baartman in that striker role, while Ashley Du Preez is rumoured to be leaving.
