SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt feels the Premier Soccer League needs to intervene to solve the feud between Sead Ramovic and Rulani Mokwena.
Tensions have been rising between the TS Galaxy and Mamelodi Sundowns coaches this season, with jabs starting in the media before Ramovic explosively claimed Mokwena threatened him during a heated phone call.
There’s been a to and from battle between the two that escalated to boiling point when Mokwena accused Ramovic of intentionally going out to hurt Bongani Zungu or rather instructed his players to injure Zungu as payback for the leg break challenge on Bernard Parker.
Mokwena was taken to court by Ramovic and TS Galaxy for a defamation case and in their 1-1 draw in Mbombela last week, things got heated between the two sides, in a feud that now looks not close to being resolved anytime soon.

Ramovic – Why Galaxy Took Mokwena To Court
“When you go and do your coaching licenses, there’s a certain etiquette, there’s a certain respect, you don’t have to be on someone’s Christmas card list and mine on yours, but you can have a certain respect and you can’t let it go off the field,” Hunt said about the Mokwena, Ramovic drama.
“I think there has to be a certain level of respect, and I do think, honest opinion, the league should get involved and something should happen, you can’t just let these things go like this because it’s going to continue and it’s a reflection on your sponsorships and you know all these types of things.
“So these things it doesn’t look like either one is going to give in. There’s nothing wrong with having a rivalry! We have one and there’s nothing wrong with that, you don’t even have to shake hands or talk to the guy, but there’s gotta be respect around these things.
“They need to sort it out, they need to get into a room if they can – I don’t think it will happen because it’s gone a little bit too far now but there’s a code of conduct, a code of ethics in the business that needs to happen. Mourinho doesn’t like Pep, Pep doesn’t like these guys and that one – you know what I’m saying but there’s a certain level of respect.
“It looks like the league might have to get involved now I think – or something has to happen.”
Gavin Hunt’s charges missed out on a top four finish after playing to a 1-1 draw against Orlando Pirates on the final day of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
