Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare admits the return of Thembinkosi Lorch is a massive boost for the whole team.
Lorch returned to the Pirates team last Saturday against All Stars and scored in his first game since suffering a knee injury in August last year against SuperSport United.
At that point, he started each of Pirates’ first five games of the season under head coach Jose Riveiro and his absence has been evident as they struggled to consistently find the back of the net.
“It’s very exciting, not looking at him at Orlando Pirates but looking at him [Lorch] as an individual, it can be very stressing to be out for a long time,” Monare said when asked by iDiski Times how the midfield has responded to his return.
“So for him as an individual, it’s good you know, he’s in a good space, he’s always been a good player, you know, we can’t really negotiate that.
“You have these kinds of players and it’s easy for one to break your leg for them, he’s an exciting talent, he can do wonders, it’s always great working with this kind of talent, one that really wants to work and improve themselves.”
Lorch will be aiming to feature once more when Pirates take on Maritzburg United in the DStv Premiership on Friday evening at Orlando Stadium. (19h30)
