Johnson Sends Message To Ntseki & Zwane

Kaizer Chiefs interim head coach Cavin Johnson has sent a message to both Molefi Ntseki and Arthur Zwane after Ntseki left the club and Zwane was redeployed to the youth department of the club.

Johnson has taken over the reins at Naturena after being appointed as Head of Youth in September.

The former Al Ahly assistant will try to stabilise the ship after Chiefs had only won one out of their last seven games across all competitions, a run that saw them dropping gout of the MTN8 and the Carling Knockout Cup.

“I empathise with Coach Molefi (Ntseki) and Coach (Arthur) Zwane but, as we all know, that’s football,” he told the club ahead of his first training.

“I want to say that I appreciate their hard work and the solid platform they have left that I aim to build on.”

Ntseki had been in charge of 13 games after taking over from Zwane, winning just four, drawing three and losing six, with the club’s poor run in form resulting in various attacks from the stands on the former Bafana Bafana coach.

While Ntseki, who had expressed concerns about his safety in his final press conference, has left Naturena, last season’s head coach Zwane has been redeployed from being an assistant to working in the youth structures.

Meanwhile, Ntseki’s other assistant, Dillon Sheppard has stayed on and will continue his role under Johnson.
