Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Cavin Johnson said the support the team got from fans after their loss to Golden Arrows showed that the Amakhosi is all about love.
Chiefs lost 2-1 to high-flying Golden Arrows on Saturday, but despite the loss there were positive overtures to Johnson’s first game in charge.
When asked about the fans cheering the team off the pitch, despite the defeat, Johnson said it showed how much the fans loved the club, and appreciated seeing some of the brand of football, they expected.
“That is the love of Kaizer Chiefs,” Johnson responded
“That is where, even myself as an individual, walking into the village, it is what you feel. It is the love that one man has built and made for many years.
“And that up there shows you that these people, they love this team. And it also shows you that yes, they love the team, but when we did play a little bit of the brand of football that all of us are used to seeing, so, therefore, we have one foot in the right direction.
“The other one will come, and the other one will come in, and when they are happy, you guys better be out of my way.”
