Former Mamelodi Sundowns captain-turned-TV pundit, Hlompho Kekana says he always reminds the legendary Doctor Khumalo just what he means to South African football.
Kekana and Khumalo regularly work together covering football for SABC TV, and Kekana said it is a privilege to work with one the greats of South African football.

He says he regularly tells Khumalo just how much he means to the game, and how he inspired future generations.
“I keep telling Doctor that he made us fall in love with the game,” Kekana told iDiski Times in a recent interview.
“And I think I cannot overemphasise for example the team that won the African Cup of Nations, the 96 Bafana squad that won the African Cup of Nations.
“For me, you are talking about the people who made us love football and it is so refreshing to see somebody who you always supported as a kid, to share that table, to discuss the game, that’s so refreshing.
“And of course, there are off-air conversations that I have asked him about his generation, what would be the challenges during his time playing football.
“And you realise that there’s so much, so many stories, so much content, these people are carrying with them every day of their lives. How I wish to have a round table with these legends where people would ask questions.”
