Junior Khanye says he is giving Kaizer Chiefs-linked coach Nasreddine Nabi the benefit of the doubt, however cautions that there will be huge expectations on the Tunisian mentor.
Nabi, 58, has been the subject of conversation for at least two seasons in South Africa, and is understood to have agreed terms with Amakhosi, as reported by iDiski Times.
It is understood, he will be joining them after his last assignment for AS FAR Rabat in the Throne Cup semi-finals against Maghreb Fez.

The Naturena-based outfit endured their worst season yet, finishing the 2023/24 DStv Premiership campaign in 10th place, extending their trophy drought to nine years. Nabi is thought to be bring in his own technical team while the club is also reported to be making wholesale changes.
Khanye says it would be unfair to write off Nabi before he even starts his job, but also cautioned that with Chiefs having bought into his idea of providing him with the necessary tools, Nabi will be expected to deliver results right away.
“He is doing well to bring his own technical team but there are expectations,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.
“It will be to his advantage that he starts winning as soon as he arrives because he is already under pressure from the legends and former players and even journalists.
“I’m sorry to say this but it’s a fact that he already has a lot to deal with. I mean he’ll win one or two games and get an applause then lose one vital game and the questions on ‘what do you think of Nabi?’ will come up, how will he react to that.
“I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I’m not saying he’s a bad choice or anything like that but I will give him the benefit of the doubt.
“He must know there are expectations; he needs to bring results now since he has been given everything. And I’m telling you he won’t use the players they have currently. The more he brings his own players, he must bring trophies.
“The issue of style of play will also matter and consistency. It will be difficult for him and also there is a possibility that they might do very well and I wish him all the best.”
