iDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye says he was not impressed in the manner Yusuf Maart approached his missed penalty against Golden Arrows in their league match in Durban on Saturday.
The Chiefs captain missed a chance to put his side in the lead with the missed spot kick though he went on to level matters after the hosts took the lead in the first half.

Chiefs eventually lost the game 2-1 to see themselves on the brink of slipping out of the top eight, a spot they’re currently in, with 29 points from 23 matches, just a point from ninth-placed Chippa United who have two games in hand.
Khanye said Maart shouldn’t have tried to be fancy as the midfielder has not been consistent, making an example with Orlando Pirates’ Patrick Maswanganyi who recently converted a cheeky penalty against them in the Soweto Derby.
“With regards to the penalty I know anyone can say Tito did a panenka but the difference is that Tito is on top of his game,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.
“Even if he had missed it no one can say anything because Tito can give you something tomorrow because he is consistent. But this guy Maart has not been consistent. He is experienced and has the armband but where does he get the confidence to want to do what he tried?
“Just go back and put power behind the ball if it’s saved it’s saved. I mean he is not consistent, and Chiefs is not doing well currently and then you do that. The fact that he was given the armband also tells you about how average the squad is.”
