Khanye – These 5 Pirates Stars Were Off

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye was left disappointed with the performance of a number of Orlando Pirates players in their 1-0 loss to Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby.

Khanye had expected a lot from Pirates ahead of the Soweto Derby, but it was his former club who ended up collecting the three points thanks to an own goal by Olisa Ndah.

The iDiskiTV analysts believes most of the Bucs players got caught up on the occasion and didn’t pitch up.

“First of all congratulations to Kaizer Chiefs for the win. I must admit that I got my prediction wrong. Orlando Pirates was the team in form leading up to the derby but this game has its own life and pattern, and it doesn’t always follow recent form,” he said on iDiskiTV.

“Both sides were scrappy. The game was poor, unconvincing football from these two big clubs. Orlando Pirates players were nowhere to be seen. Thembinkosi Lorch, Terrence Dzvukamanja, Vincent Pule, Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and Monnapule Saleng were all off!

“All the players who were supposed to be attackers for Orlando Pirates were off! Their tempo, when they had the ball, was poor. They were walking instead of running.

“How can you score when you are walking? Pirates were nowhere to be seen.”
