Official: PSL Reappoint Ncobo

The PSL have announced that the former referee Ace Ncobo has joined the league as General Manager.

The former FIFA referee had remained close to local football and analysed referee’s performances for SuperSport TV’s Extra-Time and now secured himself an official gig with the league.

“The Premier Soccer League (PSL) is pleased to announce the appointment of experienced administrator Andile “Ace” Ncobo, who joins the League in the capacity of General Manager in the Football Department,” the PSL said via a statement.

“The four-time PSL referee of the season winner will continue to contribute to professional football in the country whilst also adding value to improving levels of knowledge regarding the professional game through his involvement with specific SuperSport television.”

This is not the first time Ncobo is in this position. He was previously the PSL general manager for almost two years from 2008 until 2009 when Kjetil Siem was the league’s CEO.

However, Ncobo resigned under controversial circumstances and after his exit the PSL never appointed another GM.
