Golden Arrows head coach Mabhuti Khenyeza has advised new Kaizer Chiefs recruit Bradley Cross to block out the noise and focus on the task at hand.
Khenyeza also played for the Glamour Boys Chiefs in the 2007/08 season, netting eight times in 27 appearances, with one of his goals coming in a solitary 1-0 win over Arrows.

The 42-year-old made the move from Arrows to Chiefs back in July 2007, and a month ago, Cross, 23, made the same move, and Khenyeza, who still holds the record for the fastest goal in Soweto Derby history (19 seconds), advised Cross to remain level-headed and forget about everything else but focus on his job.
“We sat, we had a chat, and I gave him advice that he needs to stay focused and forget about anything and just play the game, control some other things that will happen from outside,” Khenyeza told iDiski Times.
“He needs to work harder and forget about some other things, there will be a lot of things around his name and he must control the fame again because coming from Golden Arrows to Chiefs things change, and life changes but he is a good guy.
“He understands he can deal with those situations and I was watching him playing last week. I watched the whole game it’s a pity that Chiefs play him at left-back but I like him as a left-centre back.
“He is very smart and precise on the ball, and he spreads those passes there in the left-back. He’s got a little bit of capacity when he goes up, but he is a good player,” he added.
Cross was named Man of the Match in his Amakhosi debut after being deemed not good enough as a trialist while Arthur Zwane was still in charge.
