Lebusa – You Know What Happens To A Wounded Animal?

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Mosa Lebusa has said that after their CAF Champions League exit the team are looking to redeem themselves when they face TS Galaxy in the DStv Premiership on Monday.

Sundowns are comfortably at the top of the league, while fifth-placed Galaxy are 19 points behind.

This will be their first league meeting of the season, however, they did meet in the Carling Knockout Round of 16, where Galaxy surprised Sundowns, winning via a penalty shootout.

Lebusa says that after their loss in the CAFCL semi-finals, Sundowns are focussed on bouncing back immediately and wrapping up the league.

“Well, obviously I mean coming from Champions League exit, moods a bit low, but as a team we had 24 hours, so 24 hours has passed, so we are looking forward to our next game where we have to redeem ourselves,” Lebusa told the club’s media department.

“I mean, we have the league to play for and playing against a good side who’s in a very good form. So we were sad, after exiting the Champions League, but right now we picked ourselves up and we have to finish the league.

“So I think everyone now is fully focused on the upcoming game. Yeah, I think it’s one of the teams that we haven’t played this season. I mean, the only time we played them was in the Carling Black Label, but in the league, we haven’t played them so it’s gonna be interesting. And yeah, they are in a very good form. I mean, if you check the league, they’re slowly climbing up and mathematically they can still catch us.

“But we’re playing at home tomorrow, I don’t think it’s possible for them to do that because tomorrow we have to redeem ourselves and you know what happens to a wounded animal? We have to go all out attack and make sure that we get maximum points and look forward to the next game.”

Sundowns could win their seventh successive league title this week, if they beat TS Galaxy on Monday and Kaizer Chiefs on Thursday.
