They have also acquired the services of Angola international Gilberto from Pedro Atletico and recently Deano Van Rooyen from Stellenbosch FC. Gilberto is yet to make his official debut in black and white though he got a run in the side’s pre-season camp in Spain where he also scored.
‘Phinda Mzala’ expressed delight at the transfer developments and how pleasing it is that coach Jose Riveiro gives everyone a chance, in the latest edition, 167, of iDiski Times.
“I’m happy because of the coach, he gives everyone a chance to play, even though we haven’t seen all of them yet,” Lekgwathi told iDiski Times.
“But I’m happy he gave players like Gilberto a chance in pre-season. And you know, he scored a goal against one of the big teams in Spain and I was happy.
“And at least competition is going to be there. Kermit is gone, they brought Gilberto and ja, it’s good to have healthy competition as players, in each and every position.”
