Former Orlando Pirates, Cape Town City and Polokwane City midfielder Mpho Makola has listed seven players who have impressed him so far this season.
The players mentioned by Makola common traits have been consistency and being counted when it mattered for their sides this campaign who are all in the top four.

Makola spoke to iDiski Times writer Lethabo Kganyago in edition 203 of the newspaper where he named the Sekhukhune United duo of Linda Mntambo and the man leading with assists this season Keletso Makgalwa, followed by a Mamelodi Sundowns pair including of leading top goal scorer Lucas Ribeiro while there were names from Stellenbosch and Orlando Pirates.
“I think Linda Mntambo, one, he’s really been consistent, he’s showed up,” Makola told IDiski Times.
“He’s lifting up his hand as a captain of the team and as a leader of the team. Keletso Makgalwa, I’m happy with him. I think he’s really reviving his career and he’s looking really good.
“[Lucas] Ribeiro at Sundowns is solid. I’m also happy with Teboho Mokoena, he has been solid. Tito [Patrick Maswanganyi] at Pirates, he’s always pushing the team as well.
“There are a lot of players that I’m seeing improvements and just consistency more than anything. [Fawaaz] Basadien at Stellenbosch, Sage Stephens, there’s just a lot of players that are really doing well this season.”
