Marumo Interim Coach Makes Bold Statement About Relegation

Marumo Gallants interim coach Matome Mathiane has issued a bold and defiant message regarding his team’s relegation battle as they continue to fight for survival near the bottom of the standings.

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa currently find themselves in 15th place on the league table, second from bottom, with just 21 points collected from 26 matches played so far this season.

Their position leaves them firmly in danger, with pressure mounting as the campaign edges closer to its conclusion.

The team is enduring a difficult run, having gone seven matches without a victory. During this stretch, they suffered three consecutive defeats before managing to stop the slide with three draws in a row, though they are still searching for a much-needed win.

Despite the worrying run of results, Mathiane remains optimistic about their chances of survival. He has expressed strong belief in the ability and quality within his squad, insisting that he is confident he can guide the team away from the drop zone before the end of the season.

“I do have confidence in my players. There’s quality in our team. Compared to other teams, I feel like there’s quality,” said Mathiane.

“There’s more quality in our team. We have players that are well-experienced. We have youngsters that are pushing.

“So, I’m quite happy with the team that we have. So, going forward, I know we’ll fight until the end. So I know we’ll get out of that position.”
