Chicago Fire head coach Gregg Berhalter praised Puso Dithejane after his first start in the Major Soccer League in their 5-0 win over Sporting Kansas City.
Dithejane, who joined the club from TS Galaxy in January, featured in the line-up for the first time, while former Orlando Pirates defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi received a well-deserved rest.

The 21-year-old was taken off after 61 minutes but his coach believes the skilful South African can become a “formidable player in the league”.
“I thought he was lively,” said Berhalter, as per On Tap Sports Net.
“It’s always difficult for a player to make his first start in the league, but I think he gave us everything we wanted.
“Good on defence, lively in one-v-ones, and as he gets more rhythm, he’s going to prove to be a formidable player in the league.
“For us, it’s continuing to work with him, but I really like his attitude and his mindset going into that game.”
Chicago, who have won four of their last five league games, are seventh in the MLS log, with 17 points from nine games – 10 behind league leaders San Jose.
