Mashamaite – It’s Too Early To Press Panic Buttons At Naturena

Former Kaizer Chiefs captain Tefu Mashamaite has stated Molefi Ntseki deserves more time at Naturena, insisting it’s too early to press panic buttons at Naturena.

Mashamaite, who now works as MTN8 ambassador, won two league titles with Amakhosi as well as one MTN8 trophy. In fact, he was at the club when they won their last piece of silverware in 2014/15.

He now insisted that Ntseki is already under pressure from fans because they have built up disappointment from previous seasons.

“They lost to TS Galaxy and supporters started throwing stuff on the field, trying to attack the coach. Like you can see it’s like triggers from past seasons, past seasons of disappointment of not winning anything,” he told iDiski Times.

“After three games they are already pushing the panic buttons because such is nature. Like, if you are used to disappointments little things will just trigger you.

“For me Chiefs have made great signings this season, it’s just a matter of time that they get something that’s positive that’s going to draw the supporters to be confident. And sometimes all you need is just that positive energy behind you.

“You see what Sundowns is doing now? It’s the 12th man you know, sometimes they don’t play well but they get that boost from the supporters because everything is positive.”

You can read the full interview with Mashamaite in this week’s iDiski Times newspaper, edition 123.
