Mkhulise Speaks Highly Of Zungu

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sphelele Mkhulise has reserved special praise for new AmaZulu midfielder Bongani Zungu ahead of Wednesday’s clash, warning his to have their guard up.

Usuthu recently announced the signing of Zungu on a free transfer following his exit from Sundowns at the end of last season.

His addition to the squad could help them move the KwaZulu-Natal-based outfit up the league table as they currently occupy an uncomfortable 13th place.

The 32-year-old could make his AmaZulu debut on Wednesday against Sundowns though Usuthu co-coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi mentioned that Zungu is not fully fit as he last played a competitive match in June.

Having played with Zungu, Mkhulise mentioned that they need to be aware because they know what is he capable of even though they not sure if he will play or not.

“Bongani is a very good player, and we all know that he’s a good player, so he will add value to AmaZulu,” said Mkhulise.

“I think we must be aware and be ready for anything because we don’t know if he will play or not.

“But he is a good player, and we know what he is capable of on the day.”
