Orlando Pirates attacking midfielder Relebohile Mofokeng is back with the club and in the squad to face Cape Town Spurs after spending two weeks with Premier League side Wolverhamton Wanderers.
Mofokeng, 19, had travelled to England for an assessment at Wolves as confirmed by Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro ahead of their Carling Knockout Cup clash with Spurs.
The School Of Excellence product is understood to have impressed the Premier League side during Bucs pre-season tour in Spain and he was invited for an assessment.
The 19-year-old has had some impressive performance since bursting into the Pirates squad towards the end of last season and clinched the MTN8 trophy last month.
He made 11 appearances in the season for 2023/24 so far, and had an assist against Chippa United in a 1-1 draw.
This publication found out on Tuesday that Mofokeng is back in South Africa following his stint at Wolves, which is understood to have gone well.
Mofokeng was also spotted at the airport when Bucs arrived in Cape Town ahead of their clash against struggling Spurs on Wednesday evening.
The Sea Robbers, though, have stuttered themselves a bit and only won one game since Mofokeng left, with the other two ending with draws.
Overall, the young starlet has made 13 appearances for Pirates since making his debut against Royal AM May.
