Mokotjo Makes Shock PSL Move

Bafana Bafana international Kamohelo Mokotjo has made a shock move to DStv Premiership club Sekhukhune United, iDiski Times can confirm.

Mokotjo, 31, has been a free agent since leaving Major League Soccer (MLS) side Cincinnati in November 2021.

He looked poised to rejoin Eredivisie side FC Twente shortly after but injuries ended his training stint with the club and he signaled his willingness to return to South Africa.

The SuperSport United academy product played his entire professional career in the Netherlands, England, with Brentford, and in the United States but will now have his first crack at the DStv Premiership with Babina Noko.

Last week, SABC Sport reported that Kaizer Chiefs opted against signing the experienced midfielder.

This website can confirm he’s penned a one-and-a-half-year deal with a one-year option to extend which was secured on Thursday morning.

Mokotjo has been capped 23 times for Bafana, with his last appearance coming in 2020 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against São Tomé and Príncipe.
