Nabi Makes Admission About Chiefs Transfers

Despite signing seven players ahead of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership campaign, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has not ruled out bringing in more firepower to sharpen his arsenal before their first league match against Marumo Gallants.

Amakhosi have brought on board Bongani Sam, Rushwin Dortley, Fiacre Ntwari, Gaston Sirino, Inacio Miguel, Bradley Cross and welcomed back Njabulo Blom on a year-long loan from MLS side St Louis City.

Nabi spoke to the media at the Betway Premiership launch on Tuesday via his French translator, saying that he was still on a mission to improve his team before the current transfer window slams shut on 20 September.

“We’re still looking for more players in different positions,” Nabi said.

“We not gonna recruit the whole players in the world, but we are still identifying the places where we need them yes.

“We’re going forward to get more players before the closing window.”

The 59-year-old Moroccan mentor also admitted that having a bit more time has afforded him the space to make his analysis on his team’s shortcomings.

“It was a good thing [having ample time] for me because I’m a new coach in the league,” he added.

“It give me more time to make training to discover more players and what we need.”

Nabi’s first official match for Amakhosi will be against Bahlabane Ba Ntwa on Saturday, 14 September.
