Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has pleaded with the club’s fans to come out in numbers for their final home match where they want to seal a top eight finish.
Amakhosi are without a win in eight successive league games but could still secure qualification for next year’s MTN8 should they beat Polokwane City at home in their final game of 2024/25.
The Nedbank Cup champions are currently in ninth spot on 31 points and would be guaranteed to overtake Chippa, who finished their games with 31 points, as well as Rise & Shine who sit on 33 points.
Ahead of the must-win clash, Nabi asked the supporters to flock FNB Stadium and support his players.
“If you look at the table you will see that the situation is only going to be resolved in the last game of the season,” he said after the match.
“But we’re going to do everything, we are confident, and we are playing at home for the last game, and we are going to have our supporters – everyone knows how important it is…
“I want to ask all the fans to come in FNB Stadium next game, we need them, we need their support because the game is very, very [tough]. We need the three points.
“We need our fans to come in numbers and together we will do it.”
