Nabi Reacts To Chiefs Four-Game Winless Run

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi says he is tired of repeating himself over the missed chances of his side every week as they dropped two points against TS Galaxy.

Chiefs looked on course to get back to winning ways with Wandile Duba opening the scoring after misses from Glody Lilepo and Gaston Sirino as they looked comfortable to create chances against the high-flying Galaxy.

But the visitors managed to stay in the game and equalised late into the second half to secure a point that moved them into third place in the league, while Chiefs had to settle for the draw that moved them back into the top-eight but winless in four league games.

“It’s true that as well as the opportunities we got was through our pressing, timing, it’s what we worked on to prepare for this opponent, I’m tired of repeating myself on the chances we missing,” he said on SuperSport TV.

“We should have scored more than one goal – we gave the opponents a chance to stay alive and we know they are good in set-pieces, and we tried to make changes, and we unfortunately conceded from a corner.”

In a moment of madness as centre-back Inacio Miguel suffered an injury, ran back onto the pitch only to be stretched off, Amakhosi went on to concede as they made the change of bringing on Dove.

“We didn’t plan to bring on Dove but when Miguel got injured, we had to sub him, we wanted to bring in George Matlou and Tashreeq Morris to bring height for Morris, the official wasn’t fast enough when we wanted to change and we then conceded,” he explained.

“Unfortunately, we have to deal with these injuries, there’s nothing we can do, it’s penalised us a lot lately but there’s nothing we can do but deal with it and give confidence to other players.”
