Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi admits that his charges struggled to string combinations together in their hard-fought victory over Magesi FC on Tuesday night.
The Glamour Boys returned to winning ways courtesy of second-half substitute Ashley Du Preez’s 68th minute strike, barely a minute being on the pitch.
Amakhosi remained in eighth spot despite the win with the Tunisian mentor admitting that his starting line-up found it very hard to break down a stubborn Magesi side which forced them into changes.
“We knew that it was going to be a difficult game, Magesi are always difficult against big teams,” Nabi told SuperSport TV after the match at the Calabash.
“We saw it in the Carling final against [Orlando] Pirates and we knew it was gonna be a difficult game.
“And even for ourselves, the fact of having a lot of changes, the first line-up we struggled a little bit in the first half to get on the front foot, to get going but we were better in the second half.
