Nabi Sent Off, Points Out Chiefs Issue In Defeat

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi slammed his players for missing countless chances in their defeat to Golden Arrows.

Amakhosi suffered their fifth defeat of the season after narrowly being beaten 1-0 by Abafana Bes’thende courtesy of Gladwin Shitolo’s second half strike as Nabi’s charges missed out on the chance to move fourth on the Betway Premiership standings.

The likes of Mduduzi Shabalala, Ranga Chivaviro, Bradley Cross and Reeve Frosler all missed glorious chances as Chiefs recorded just a single shot on target the entire game with Nabi having a go at his charges which in turn granted their opposition the chance to score and win the match.

“It’s always the same issue when you don’t convert your opportunities to score,” Nabi told SuperSport TV – moments after he received a red card after the final whistle for remonstrating to the match official.

“You keep the opponent alive and when he gets the opportunity to score, he puts in his opportunities and then you have to run after the score.

“Today, it’s an absolutely deceiving result and we’re very aware we didn’t do well today.”
