Ncikazi Reveals Pirates’ Plan For Gallants Clash

Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has urged his charges to be wary of Marumo Gallants’ change in leadership but equally vowed that they will be gunning for maximum points when the two sides clash this afternoon.

The Buccaneers’ last domestic action saw them suffer a shock 1-0 defeat to Stellenbosch FC before playing to consecutive CAF Champions League stalemates to Al Ahly (0-0) and Stade Abidjan (1-1).

Having taken a moment from their busy December schedule to bring festive cheer to kids at the Tembisa Child and Family Welfare Society, Ncikazi further added that Pirates have to get three points in order to close the gap on leaders Mamelodi Sundowns who are three points ahead though Bucs have played a game less.

“The dynamics of our next match just allows us to focus on ourselves,” Ncikazi told Pirates’ media team.

“The change in leadership in our opponent just indicate that we should focus on our previous performance. Try and improve, try and get three points which is what we have planned for.

“Not a very easy opponent to play against but Pirates must get the points and that’s what we want to do.”

The match will kick off at 15:00 from Orlando Stadium.
