Ndah Reveals Who Has Improved His Game At Pirates

Orlando Pirates stand-in captain Olisa Ndah has attributed the improvement in his game to assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi since his arrival at the club.

Ndah joined the Buccaneers from Nigerian Premier League outfit Akwa United in August 2021 and has had a successful spell winning back-to-back MTN8 and Nedbank cup titles.

The 26-year-old centre-back made his return to the Nigerian national team this past weekend, his first appearance in over a year, as they dispatched Benin 3-0. Ndah also recently found the back of the net as they cruised past Cape Town City in the MTN8 to book another final berth.

Even though he credits both head coach Jose Riveiro and Ncikazi for how he’s been able to take his game to the next level, Ndah strongly touted the latter as having played a significant role more.

“Mandla Ncikazi because he’s the one that signed me at the club,” Ndah told centerkick when quizzed which of the two coaches has been more helpful.

“He believed in me. He gave me opportunities, and I’m always grateful for him.

“He’s a great person and I have a good relationship with him.

“He helped me in different ways. We did analysis together on games and stuff, so yeah, he’s been a good help for me,” he added.
