Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu says he’s pleased to have found the net again for the club and is keen to finish the season strong after getting back to winning ways.
Chiefs are set to face TS Galaxy on Sunday at FNB Stadium at the back of three consecutive wins, beating Durban City, Magesi and ORBIT College, which ended a run of three consecutive defeats and perhaps their hopes of sustaining a title push.
Ndlovu has been at the heart of that improved form along with Lebohang Maboe and he revealed that the squad had a moment of honesty with each other after their recent blip in form.
“It’s so great to move from one goal to a second goal of the season, it comes down to the efforts, as a team, because we made some agreements as a team that there’s certain things that have to change and we will be committed to those changes,” Ndlovu said.
“I’m so happy that I got my second goal of the season. We really understand the expectations as a club – we have been doing things great [with the tree wins in a row], we feel we have done well this season, but there’s room for improvement of course.”
With the Rockets winless in eight games, the trip to the Calabash needs no motivation – which Ndlovu says they are wary of, with the Nedbank Cup finalists keen to get back into top-eight contention.
“At this time of the season, it’s so difficult to predict because everyone is playing for something, every point matters, it will be an interesting game,” he added.
“We just need to thoroughly prepare for them and continue the winning streak, because that’s what we need to finish as high as we’d like to finish on the log.”
Ndlovu has featured 21 times for Amakhosi this season, scoring two goals, with one assist.
